So how about a wee thread for our favourite things?  Let me give you an example...

My favourite thing ever was the cottage we had in September 2005 on the edge of Loch Lomond $ sitting outside in my jammies at 6am watching the sunrise.

Thinking in that direction, my favourite thing ever would be sitting in the sunshine really early on a summer morning and having a cup of coffee with a really good friend.
I love these times and fortunately they occur often enough.

My favourite holiday, maybe should have gone in the other thread but meh it's here now :P.. it was with the college, we spent 10 days in France doing loads of watersports and we topped it off by canoeing down the Ardeche with all these amazing rapids.

It was an amazing holiday cos everyone was together for the last time and we had some incredible times like sleeping out under the stars deep in some valley while a soft rain fell around us.  There were cabins available for us but a few of us (bout 6 out of the 35 who went) slept outside in just our sleeping bags... damn that so good, I miss it : (

You lucky get Manivaid and that sounds absolutely beautiful Matt...  /sulk  Still at least it gives me something nice to think about on the way to work

Anymore favourite things?  (Doesn't have to be a place obviously).  I'm going to share with you now that one of my favourite perfumes is Euphoria.  I didn't even want to get it at first cause my best friend has it (we have a weird sort of sister/bizzare competitive thing going on sometimes) but it's soooo lovely!

Ok my favourite sport.. it's a tough one because I've grown up loving football with such a passion.  But I went skiing in Austria with my school (it's not posh damn it Bubbles, a load of us weren't allowed to go skiing on the last day cos we got caught drinking, would poshies do that? :P) and I was totally blown away by it.  For sheer thrills and excitement skiing wipes the floor with football, standing at the top of a mountain, looking around for x amount of miles is something you really have to experience to understand.. then following that by a speedy descent down ice and snow on thin bits of wood.. breath taking.

Overall football would be the sport I chose though for sheer accessability, you really do only need a ball and two objects for goalposts and you're away.  I haven't played in a while, I should get a 5 a side thing going with my friends again.  Wow this is such a nostalgic thread Tori lol

Oh and following on from your fave thing.. my fave cologne (I'm aware I'm not American but "cologne" sounds better than aftershave I think :P) at the minute would be Lacoste Red. It's nothing new but it's very nice

I'm getting attacked and I didn't even say anything <sniff>  so much for the love Matt!  Snowboarding is definetly the cooler one to go for I think but given that I'm uncoordinated and clumsy neither is a safe option for me.

I was never allowed to play football with the boys at primary school cause I hacked them :S  LOVED playing basketball, I'm prolly rubbish at it but it's better than the evil netball I played at primary.  The downside to being the tallest in the class is they stick you as the goal keeper.  Past that I'm not much of a sports lover...

If Matt has a proper Londer accent though I'm afraid I will no longer be able to regard him as a "poshie".  Unless of course he does talk proper with plums in his mouth (watch it now...)

Feel free to have a little spin off topic insulting each other - I'm not very good at sticking to things either

Ooo colone.  You could always call it toliet water, you can tell I'm classy  smile/!hinhin.gif

My favourite colour... well I'm sure you can guess that.  It's clearly pink

I used to watch it on Channel 4 when it was on at ridiculous o'clock.  I didn't play in a team or anything, just for kicks but it's so much fun!

I used to have a skateboard but I wasn't very good at it so I gave up eventually and just sat down on it.  You should get one and be a skate kid Zack

Lol I'd LOVE an accent but alas I have a very middle-of-the-road voice. I was born and bred in Milton Keynes which was very cosmopolitan before it was normal for every town and city to have about 15 different nationalities down every road.  The result of this is I just don't have an accent.. it's just a voice. Not quite posh enough to pull off a gentleman type character and a thousand miles from being cockney.

I would love to be able to skate but I'd kill myself, I have so many scars from just football it'd be deadly to put me on something like a skateboard.

I've never broken a bone in my body, quite proud of that

I've got a crap load of scars from rabbits, I've split both my knees open (got another scar on my right knee recently from falling), pizza burns and a burn from a hot water bottle on my leg.

Course you'll have an accent Matt, you just don't notice it :P  I really think that should give surfing a go though, I think it'd really suit you.

Lol I'd give it a go, only somewhere warm though and a real clear sea.. I think I have some fear of the sea but I dunno where it's come from, I nearly drowned when I was a nipper but I dunno, it was in a pool not the sea..

I honestly don't have an accent. It's just...English speech. Like would you say Ricky Gervais had an accent? First guy that came to mind

Yes he does have an accent and you do and Rose does and I certainly do

I swim like a brick and I'm terrified of the sea but weirdly also have a bizzare attraction to it as well...  love being beside it but it would seem we both share a er, healthy respect for it too.

If you don't want to play with old geezers, you have to make golf a contact sport!
