Sorry I can't help you with the Monk Runes. But they don't make a REAL big difference. I do this run with 2 Monks, and they both use different runes. The trick is simple: The Monk lures the gang, and Tanks them. Meanwhile, the Necro uses Arcane Mimicry on the Monk. Now he can use both Spoil Victor and SS. On who you cast which hex is important. You can use Spoil Victor about 2ce, before Mimicry wears off. Use them on (of course) different ennemies, and cast SS on a third if possible.
If you're facing multiple weaker opponents, Echoing SS is a good way to kill them fast.
Suffering is meant to counter those Smite Crawlers (damn 'Smite Hex'...) They'll use Smite Hex to remove Suffering, and then you can succesfully use SS untill Smite Hex recharges. Here, Echoing SS is also a good idea.
The Nightmares are a problem, as the 55 health monk can't survive them. The necro can kill them by using SS, and dodging their attacks (their attacks are VERY dodgable)
Rez sig and Ss Rebirth Sig are needed in case of Lag or whatever, because a 55 hp monk can't survive Ressurect or Rebirth.
With this combination, the Coldfires can be dealt with, if you look out for their Maelstorms...
