I really need to hear your opinions on this guys, because at the end of the day without you we would have no guild and as far as I am concerned what you want is WAY more important than Faction points or anything else an alliance might want.

Before doing a little AB this evening, I saw someone asking for 300K guilds to join their alliance I thought "that's us" so I pmed them to say what our factions were - they pmed me back to say "great, we'll take you" but since then it transpires that they are looking to become a big alliance and they want us to have 500K within the fortnight. This reminds me of our days with [any] - they would regularly give us a new faction total to meet which we would diligently do. There came a point where there were only a few people ABing regularly, and those of us that were still enjoy it from time to time, but the targets took the fun out of AB as we felt we HAD to it rather than we WANTED to do it.

There have been a few people who have put forward the idea of having a small PvE alliance - I like the idea, but I am also happy to stay with a large faction farming alliance to enjoy the benefits of town ownership. Please guys, your frank opinions on this.

I quite like the idea of being in a big(ish) allience and having a target to reach (as long as it is achievable)and I really enjoyed it when we used to get guild AB teams. I think lets stick with this allience for now and try to maintain the 500k if possible, if it doesn't work out then we can reassess it later.
I think also if we do have a target to reach and we do more AB it will help get the guild close again like we used to be, doing stuff together.

I think we should stick around a little longer with these guys. Its a little too fast to judge them, and having a goal is not so bad, as long as they don't expect us to reach it too fast. Doing ab with our guild is, i would like to do some more;)
talking about alliances do these guys own a town?

Yes, they do own a town. At the moment it's Bai Passu Reach. I'm sure reaching 500K won't be a problem, but one of the guilds was very negative about us on alliance chat - I was none too happy about that. You guys rock. I won't have anyone being rude about my guild without having something to say about it. 500K we can do - and I think we can do it in much less than two weeks - but if they keep giving us new targets, I think we should reconsider though. A lot of people got very frustrated when we were with [any] and having to AB pretty much the entire time we were on-line.
