Here comes the latest competition, those wishing not to be dazed by brilliance, close your eyes now.

The Idea.

Deal as much damage in a single second as possible to the Master of Damage in the Isle of the Nameless.

The Rules

• Proof must be printscreened and posted here.
  

• Posting the build that did the damage is permitted, but not compulsary.
  

• The only edit you may make to the image is the "Blacking out" of parts of the interface(Blacking out names from chat, etc).
  

• You must be the only person in your party.
  

• PvE Skills are allowed.
  

Tips and Hints

• Defensive Skills are not needed as the Master of Damage cannot attack.
  

• Professions that rely on a foe to attack to deal damage (Mesmer, Necromancer, Smiting Monks) will be less effective because the Master of Damage cannot attack or cast.
  

• Master of Damage DOES consider Degeneration when calculating the highest damage dealt.
  

• As you are aiming for highest damage in a single second, degeneration is likely to prove ineffective.
  

The Prizes

There's going to be prizes for those who come in First, Second and Third place. The prizes however will be delegated by the KoDR Prize Bucket. No single person will recieve all three prizes.

Alex, could we disinclude PVE attacks?
As there's no single combo or anything in the game that deals near the spike damage  that Ebon Vanguard Sniper Support deals, and as mesmers have the skill 'signet of illusions', only a PVE mesmer could ever win this competition with a r16 Ebon Vanguard Sniper Support

Totally agree with you on that Littlebird, I don't think it'd be fair to alter the rules so far as no PvE skills go, but I think Ebon Vanguard Sniper Support is too great a skill for this type of competition. As of the date of this post, the following skills are not considered valid :

Signet of Illusions
Ebon Vanguard Sniper Support

Sorry to those who had used this skill, but these are far too overpowered for a spike-damage competition. Rather than change the rules entirely, I think this is a much fairer way to deal with the issue.

EDIT: I tried a couple of times, and went from just under 400 dmg to just over 500 with build adjustments and some better timing now
I used Snow's ele, as my Necro isn't rlly the best at dealing straight forward spike damage

If a build is not posted, how do we know these skills weren't used? I'm sure Littlebird did not use them, but the possibility exists that Snow is r4 or 5 vanguard and he used a sniper without signet of illusions to get the damage.

I would also disagree with your decision to disallow signet of illusions - banning sniper support is fair enough, but 16 illusion magic and a bunch of fire magic spells is no different to an ele having 16 fire magic.

sniper support does over 540 damage on rank 0. But you're right about that. If anybody objects or if the rules change, I will post my build and/or give a live demonstration of it

And in a last attempt for this weekend, Snow helped me shoot over Frizz with a staggering 768 damage!
I did not use sniper support, as you can see that there wasn't a quote like "one arrow one kill" on the screen. If it's really required, I have a screen right after I did the damage, with build and all

A screen of right after you did the damage would be good, otherwise what's to prevent you bringing heroes and simply kicking them from the party when you zone out?

since LB allready left, here's the prove(or however you spell it) that it's done whitout heroe's

meh it's probably cheating half stealing Lb's build but this was so hard to time i think it's justified. (3 other skills and higher ranking >.> idm whoever gots the green tho :P )
