Neither do I actually. I think it's just farming for rare weapons. they had to give it A name (like solo farming, boss farming,...)

Well, we farm for things like Djinn essence and roaring eather claws, they scavenge into rare materials like gems and monster claws. There are great spots around Tharik Orchard.
