But a monthly tournament, or two-monthly or even longer if rly nescessary, would be a nice opportunity to have some more PvP action and have some fun.

Rules
-Entree fee of 1k per contestant per tournament, (so for example: 8v8 would end up in a bigger bet (8k per group) and also a bigger end-prize) Every contestant pays their own entree fee (personal) so that noone gets in a group without that they know about it.
-It would be possible to have more tournaments next to eachother like 1vs1 2v2 AND 4v4, And thus it can also be possible to play in more games than one, allthough this is not adviced :P
- Types of tournaments are in the poll ANd maybe as well as and maybe play some variants or other games than simply killing eachother.
- Stepping out the tournament possible one week before a match, you get 750g of the entree fee back.
-Every communication will go through on the event and compitition forum.

Dates
Dates would be on fixed dates, Like every saturday sunday friday or any time during the week, Agreed upon one week in advance. Don't show up games will get favoured in the team actually showing up. Both not showing up, the date wil get set one week forwards, or any date agreed upon for both parties. If then both parties still 'don't show up they are disqualified and get 250g of their entree fee back.

Any suggestions to this plan would be nice, I don't really mind if noone comes or not :P

Games Suggestions
The Arena Gauntlet 1vs8
1 player tries to kill as many players in one round, and gets points for winning each round where there will be added one player each round to make it harder.
Rules:
Any profession allowed
Any build allowed
Change your build between rounds = minus 1 point
Winning a round is number foes*round lvl Points which adds to your total points.
Round 1-4-7-10-13-16-19-22 is 1 to 8 foes which all come one at a time
Round 2-5-8-11-14-17-20-23 is 1 to 8 foes which all come in groups of one or two. (Odd numbers is one first then pairs of two)
Round 3-6-9-12-15-18-21-24 is 1 to 8 foes which all come at the same time.
Variant to this: start at round 4, make the name:
Arena Gauntlet 2v8, and then entree-parties would be two persons working together.
Pro's and con's
Needs alot of dummy players, but is alot of fun.

I like these ideas very much Frizz. As for the entrance fee, if that is going towards prizes then it's no problem. But while I still have two mules full of prizes it seems a bit silly to not use the existing prizes and free up one of my character slots and start the cash prizes (or whatever) when the prize fund is running low.

A weekly scrimmage based competition would be a fantastic thing to get going, and we could use the idea you've posted here, the games Alex came up with and the suggestions you sent me way back when.

Like are the dummies really going to have dummy builds?

Or are they gonna be horrible and discover the 1 person's build then making their builds to destroy that.

eg,

The trying player is a melee. A dummy decides to do SS, empathy and other evils

also any profession, if someone makes a tank, will the dummy lose after a minute of no progression?

And these 8 people arn't really going to be that easy to a single person at the same time unless they do have dummy builds
