Yea Generic, or Slash. I dunno him that good, he's cool though. He has some crazy idea's on builds..

Over the years I have designed a very large amount of builds for various classes in guildwars. Some that I made we to fit into a certain builds or designed for a specific situation. Others I made when the inspiration hit me, and when I was looking for a bit of fun. The following builds fit into the last category, are not meant to be taken seriously and a few of them contain skills that are now nerfed, but used to be very effective. Unfortunately I was lazy and never managed to post any up before hand, but anyone who has been in a guild with me for a while should be familiar with at least one. Alot of these builds were made quite a while ago,and  you may see some similar ideas in recent metas. Its sorta a trademark of mine to go and design weird builds that work*

Flourish Spiker
Suitable for: All PvP

I designed this build after looking at how awesome the skill flourish is and realizing that warrior skills could not use it to its full potential. I had just learned how to fast weapon swap so the build was designed to help me improve at that as well as to do big damage.

Weapons Enough energy armor for 25 energy, rest needed for health. Stonefist insignia also needed to make sure Falling Spider hits.

I run a Vampiric Hammer of fortitude for the Hammer Bash, Sundering Daggers of Fortitude for the spike, Furious Daggers of Fortitude for adrenaline building, and a shield set with a +5 Energy spear (In case I get energy denied and need to cast flourish)

-In order to complete this combo you need to know how to fast weapon swap. After you build up adrenalin you activate BoA then hammer bash, then quickly after that click on the ground next to your targe with your mouse, you can then press your weapon swap hot key (you dont have time to move your mouse to do this, make sure you are using your keyboard for the rest of the combo) Just after you switch to daggers you can then start doing your combo. This will allow you to swap weapons faster that is normally possible.
-The target should be starting to get up in the middle of using falling lotus strike, and will be able to cast/kite in the middle of using blades of steel.
-If you are having timing issue with fast weapon swapping and your last offhand is failing because of it, swap the skills around so falling lotus is at the start. it wont make it any easier to do, but the build will be more forgiving in terms of energy.
-Once one combo is completed you can press flourish and move straight in to the next one with full energy and full adrenaline, if one isnt enough to kill one target monks usually start to cry after the second one is finished.
-Be aware that burst of aggression will make you lose all adrenalin, so you only can do two combos before needing to build up adren again. If you are brave you may consider taking frenzy instead, or if your not that brave switch in flail instead and take rush as a cancel stance instead of res sig.


Mystic Dervish

Suitable for: 4v4 PvP

I noticed how awesome dwaynas touch was, just after I noticed that mystic healing was a huge party heal (a few of these skills have been nerfed now) So I decided to make this derv build with arcane zeal to keep on spamming it. It has a whole heap of defensive skills to keep yourself alive with and mystic twister to do big AoE damage.

Weapons Need to run full radiant with energy runes in spare slots. Weapons should be a +5 caster weapon with a 20% enchant mod. Offhand should be a +30 Hp shield (With different +10armour bonuses)

-Cast enchants in the order placed on bars, then just spam the other skills.
-Place yourself in the middle of the action, because you wont be able to move around much afterwards
-Consider dropping Mystic twister for return
-Keep an eye on enemy rangers and mesmers. They can mess you up
-Be aware of how long your enchantments will last for, dont cast a skills unless you have arcane zeal up if you can help it.



Deadly Shutdown
Suitable for: All PvP

I saw a Glyph of energy mesmer with blackout being run for the first time in obs mode and faced it later in gvg, and discovered the joys that is blackout combined with a "Quarter Knock" So i designed this build, trying to find skills that could knock down. In the end I came up with something similar to the assassins combo. Unfortunately if you put Dancing Daggers in there you will explode from the energy costs of everything, so I opted for Sig of Toxic shock instead. Now that shroud of silence is nerfed you cant chain it with everything else, and so lose a big part of the constant shutdown that made this bar so lethal to monks. But I have a friend that assures me it is still is gud.

Weapons Bring a Shield set, a +15 >%50 Domination set to wand things with. Bring a 20% all skills set if you like.

-With this build timing is everything, once you dark prison in you need to knock down your target, then wait a moment before casting blackout. If you get the timing right you should quarter "Lock" the target, preventing then from completing the 1/4 second cast (and interrupting the skill) Once blackout wears off on your bar, wait a brief moment before casting entangling asp, if you time it right they should be knocked down, interrupting every 1/4 second cast they were doing (SB, RoF etc) Before they get up completely cast shroud of silence on them, disabling their spells. Then use toxic shock at your leisure. By the time Shroud of silence wears off blackout will have recharged. Again with good timing you should be able to have the second blackout land just as shroud wears off.
-Since the nerf of shroud of silence consider using it as an interrupt instead of part of a cast-chain. Also try swapping it out for Psychic Instability or Power Block. Both are very powerful
-Your going to want to prioritize your shutdown to attack the other teams healers - they will try and kite you to stay away from blackout, you need to follow and stay close so you can keep them from casting, the KD from Asp and the shadow steps will help with this.
-Your spells by themselves wont allow you to kill, since you have alot of spare time, consider wanding squishys with your 15 >%50 set. Its a good habit to get into




ZeroMana Smite
Suitable for: Lolz

I have made a lot of variations of this build, so Ill just post up my two latest ones. These builds are based off my original Super Mesmer build (I made that when nightfall came out and i was like wtf: sowm is HAX) It had signet of illusions in it... Eventually I made two variations. One based off Keystone Signet (Before Sowm was nerfed) then one off SoJ (After Sowm was nerfed) The builds can be worked to run on either a mesmer or a monk. Its more potent on a monk, but people tend to kill you and rage at you more so it's less fun Sad So often ill just play it on a mesmer, for more lolz.

Weapons Bring a negative energy set to hide your energy. Make sure to bring a +15 >%50 wand to hit things with. The damage adds up over time... And also a high set in case you need the energy. You want as much health as you can get with this build, you need to outlast the guy thats hitting on you.

- Put your enchants up on yourself before the timer starts. You dont want the other team to know what your doing. Make sure you put holy wraith on last, as its the easiest to recast after it gets stripped.
-Target your signets on whatever comes after you as a priority, you want to deal enough damage so they explode without realizing what happened.
- Try to drawn attention to yourself by overextending etc. You work best when someone is attacking you.
- Consider removing blessed signet for Castigation or Leech.
- Casters will destroy you...




Vengeanceway Ele
Suitable for: Lolz

I made this build when I first came across Glyph of Renewal. I thought to myself hey thats a cool skills, lets see what other great skills with long recharges there are. And then I noticed Vengeance. Smiley The concept behind this is to be almost impossible to kill while continually resserecting your party members right back up. When Izzy buffed both vengeance and glyph of renewal the build went from being a cute gimmick to a serious Lolz build. A earlier version of this build did well on a HA weekend when kill count was around. Vengeance when cast on SH Eles = Win.

-Death under vengeance do not add DP. They also dont add to your opponents score on a kill count map (Such as ones in RA/TA and an old HA Map.
-Keep your wards in the middle of the battlefield. Keep ward of stab up to stop knockdowns while ressing.
-If you think your going to be interrupted while casting vengeance try to cancel cast. You only have limited energy for this however
-Mesmers and rangers can own this build.
- Glyph of resto will stop you from completely degening to death, however it cant keep you alive forever
- Vengeance now works best on direct damage eles, and almost as good on melee characters. Its not so good on hex casters and monks.
