Other than guild wars what is your favourite game?

I'll start: Morrowind sheerly because it got me into the whole new genre of gaming.
I prefer it to oblivion anyday oblivion was a bit too easy if you ask me.

Halo 2 is up there. I had more fun on it than I have on H3 (tho I still play it). The maps were more fun and creative. So many of the H3 maps suck imo (Epitaph, Isolation, The Pit - I think I'm the only one who hates this one -, Snowbound to name but a few) and the ones that are good are the recreated ones from the first two games.  The recreation of Zanzibar (Last Resort) is good and 2 of the 3 new maps in the latest pack are recreations.

One of the much older Championship Manager games - CM2 for Dos - would be in the top 3 of my fave games of all time.

GTA 3 and Vice City were something pretty special too.

It would probably suck now, but when I was a kid I LOVED a game called Sword of the Samurai (it's so old it was on a 5 1/4 inch disk and the graphics were rather shoddy)- your objective was to become Shogun of Japan by duelling, war, kidnapping, politics. Another great game was Covert Action, in which you worked for the CIA with car chases, phone tapping, code-cracking and infiltrating buildings (either on rescue or recon missions)to solve the case.

Also, Colonization (by Sid Meir, the guy behind Civilization, but about the colonisation of the Americas) was great - and highly educational too.

Pirates, another Sid Meir. Taught me all I know about the carribean and piratey-ness.

Aside from that I played KOTOR2 to death.

KOTOR was such an impressive RPG.
Can't remember which I preferred more, they didn't differ too much. I think I liked the first more.

It was such a good feeling when, after struggling through with "vibro blades" or something you finally get your 'saber.

I liked a lot of the old games... Streets of Rage was a BIG hit with me and Resident Evil (apart from maybe some dodgy pauses in dialouge, "Paul <pause big enough to go make tea, drink it and come back> Wheres Paul").  LOVE Mario and Lugi (pronounced Lou-ugi by me) Oo and the Commadore 64!  Wow that seemed like a huge leap forward at the time

I am now COMPLETELY obsessed with Drakes Fortune on the PS3 though, it's practically Indie and we all now how I feel about that

Perfect Dark was incredible. I don't think I've had so much fun on an FPS.

I didn't even play the single player bit, I had a mate round and we played multi player for SO long. There's loads you can do on it.  Loads of great weapons. Great multiplayer.

KotOR really was a cool game^ ^ but I liked the 2nd game more.  I rather liked Star Wars Republic Commando as well.  Oblivion was alright.

If you don't want to play with old geezers, you have to make golf a contact sport!

Oblivion was alright.

That's how I felt, everyone was absolutely loving it saying what a ground breaking game etc it was. I got really bored with it. One of the ways I measure a good RPG is how happy I am to start over from the beginning and Oblivion isn't good for re-starting and I didn't find it very user friendly either. KoTOR is much better and not just cos it has lightsabers in it  ;)

Oblivion was too easy for several reasons:
-fast travel
-arrows on the map telling where to go, no sence of good roleplaying.
- easy to cheat
- very easy to become too overpowered e.g. 100% cameleon.

I like being able to unlock a skill from perfecting the one before it, in Oblivion you could start all of them at the same time.

Ok maybe I didn't play it enough cos I don't really have an idea of what you're talking about lol

I just got annoyed when I became a vampire (by blocking a sword being wielded by a vampire, not an orthodox method of contraction but whatever :P) and couldn't find the cure cos obv I couldn't go to shops in the day cos of sunlight so I had to break in then they always caught me and freaked out etc, I got very frustrated with it all

Yeh becoming a vampire has its ups and downs. there a mission to cure counts wife in one of the towns which lets you get cured with a hefty reward too ( there is a cheat here where u can repeatedly ask for the reward and earn loads of cash quick)
to stop being hurt by sunlight fast travel to use time rather than rest and drink one alsleep persons blood untill you rest you wont be harmed by the light but it does get anoying.
oh and also tip: dont close all the oblivion gates before doing cure vapirism quest or you cant get one of the ingredients ( fresh bloodgrass)
yes I know just about everything about the game:P played it to death and got it on its release day but after morrowind i was expecting better.
